Meeting called to order 4pm in Monterey Town Library. Present: Maureen Banner, John Heffernan, Kathryn Roberts, Pat Salomon, Lynne Leavitt
John has created a wonderful “collection” box to be used at all Cultural Council events, which are free. The purpose of the box is to collect voluntary financial contributions from attendees to be used for future event refreshments.
Review of outstanding money already committed for future Cultural Council events:
Audubon program...last year’s budget; Budget 2011-2012 include the following: Liz Queller July 16th $500; Barbara Swann Civil War lecture July 8 $100; Mushroom walk, Sept. 17th. It was decided to pay musicians for Township #1 Day July 2 for a total of $350.
***Liz Queller is scheduled for July 16th, altho discussion placed the date at July 7th.....conflicting with Barbara Swann the next night???
Question raised about changing date for Studio Tour from Dec 3rd to Thanksgiving weekend. Better for shopping to be earlier, however, is this convenient for exhibitors, etc?
Next meeting Thurs. July 21st, 4pm in Library.
